With his acute intellectual business insight, he broadened the company’s influence into various sectors. The Piramal Group’s real bright moment came in 1988 with Ajay’s buyout of Nicholas Laboratories, an Australian pharmaceutical firm. And this was the very move that made Piramal Enterprises the 2nd biggest pharma group in India, can you even believe that?
